Why doesn’t Nexus 2 have sound effects like Sylenth1?

This makes sense because, similar to Sylenth1, Serum requires synthesis manipulation to create a final sound (unless you’re loading a preset). Nexus 2 instead skips this step by replaying sampled audio files.
