We think that the panic created by this magnificent moment speaks to everyone. We also wanted to pay homage to the mothers who are too often absent from the mythology of superheroes.

M83 is more of a pondering feel, aimed at the youth that have time on their hand and their heads in a cloud. Not knocking that, I just can’t do that at work or with my family. A lot of the lyricism takes on an epic or dream-like state, a never-ending feeling of bliss and peace. A lot are also hard to make out without liner notes.
