Is Trentham Gardens open for walking?
Trentham is open all year round with Trentham Gardens only closed on Christmas Day. Please note that some activities within the gardens operate seasonally and are limited during the winter months. These include the Barefoot Walk, Maze, Boat, and Train.

It is a flat easy walk which at “strolling pace” will take around 30/45 mins, although longer if you stop at the cafe half way round! The walk is suitable for young or old and anyone in between.

Who designed Trentham Gardens?
The gardens were designed as a serpentine park by Capability Brown from 1758 onwards, overlying an earlier formal design attributed to Charles Bridgeman. Trentham Gardens are now principally known for the surviving formal gardens laid out in the 1840s by Sir Charles Barry, which have recently been restored.
